On the black lava rocks of the Island El Hierro of the Canary Islands sits the Hotel Punta Grande, the former smallest hotel of the world with only four bedrooms. It lost its titel 3 or 4 years ago to a hotel in Germany which is so small that it can only accomodate two guests.
Despite the lost titel the hotel is still a kind of curiosity because of its small size, the isolated location at the steep rough lava coast and the fact that much of the wood used was salvaged from ship wrecks.
If you take a look at the photo I think you will agree that not many hotels in the world have a cooler location...
