My First Breakfast In Bed Hotel Experience and Something Sabotaged...

Have you ever had breakfast in bed in a hotel? Am 40 and this is my first time to ever get to do it and I actually enjoyed it! There are many things I should have done when I was younger and travelling and this should have been one of those but I was pretty stiff back then so I have to admit I missed out but not anymore! You know what they say, better late than never.

On our first night in this hotel, I saw that we could have breakfast in bed if we pay an additional 5 euro and all we have to do specify what on earth our food preference is. I told hubby, it's on me so he doesn't have a choice but to agree . That night, he hung that page outside our door cause it should be there before 2am. We asked that breakfast be delivered at half past 8 but it arrived 15 minutes earlier. I wasn't even done taking my morning shower then. Punctual!

What on earth is so special about breakfast in bed when staying in a hotel, you ask? Perhaps to other people - nothing ... but you see, am an introvert and a new place with new faces is a dreadful place to be for me so here are the things I enjoyed for paying an extra 5 euro for breakfast in bed. Sorry .. I forgot to fix the duration on the video so slides will play fast but if you really want to read this one needs pausing. Thank you for reading already.

Hell, yeah! We did it the next day and the second time around made us laugh a lot because the breakfast boy forgot the fruits and we had to write no meat so no liver paste either on that page plus asked for pepper for our soft boiled eggs and honey for the coffee because we are both no fan of sugar! Course they didn't know that part not their fault.

Massage was part of the plan the next day and we're supposed to just get one each. Hubby had shiatsu and I - warm oil. After the massage we sat at a spaceship like chairs enjoying mandarins, hot teas with orange, lemon and ginger slices and mint water when we noticed a blind staff. In Asia, blind masseuse are very famous because they are so damn good at what they do! Hubby and I decided to extend another day to experience his service and swim some more so off we went to the reception to book another day of spoiling and this time it's on me. We're lucky there were spots for the massage and we settled to hubby having it hours later and I the next day.

In as much as I wanted to swim and spend the whole day in the 31 degrees water and the steam room, I spent the whole day, napping because that time of the month sabotaged all of it so hubby had no choice but to spend it napping with me and spend just an hour in the thermen. He was tired and too relaxed from all the massages anyway so he didn't really mind. When he got back from swimmin' we headed for dinner and went to the same round table we had the other night. We both had something else that night.

The next day I woke up with a swollen face from eating all those food. I think I was up till almost 2 am trying to digest all those giant gambas they served me. I took a shower and breakfast was served. An hour after breakfast I headed to the reception to get my card for my massage and the staff said I was half an hour early. I had to laugh cause I forgot that my watch is set on a ten min advance so being there 15 minutes earlier means damn too early indeed. Oh well, I didn't mind waiting there. After my massage, I almost wanted to extend one more day and nap but we decided it's time to go home because I can no longer swim so it won't be worth it paying more.

I have to say .. thanks God happiness is for sale in this place and given another chance, yes, I'd pretty much like to buy some more please. What we spent for this day could buy us another set of D Eye but spoiling each other is but worth it specially because we're celebrating something special that day (no not Valentine's Day). Given another chance and time, we'd probably do it again because we're both worth it.

If you can afford it, too and you have the time to spoil yourself and your better half would you do it? Would sky be your limit or how much are you willing to throw to show some love?
