Travel Blog 26: Top 7 Attractions You Need to Visit now in London | United Kingdom

Hello, fellow steemians~

As I promised from my last "Travel Blog 25" that a London Part-2 is finally ready! In this article, I am ready to take you on a journey to London as a whole for all the famous sight-seeing sites that you never want to be missed.

Whenever we speak of London, I guess the first thing that comes to your mind is, of course, the Big Ben with red buses and the iconic public telephone booth. If it pops into your mind, then you're absolutely right! That's something that you're going to witness down below as I continue to bring you along to my travel journey.

Without delay, Let's start!

This is the iconic landmark of London and I am more than sure you've seen it somewhere on the internet where traveller posting photos of it, advertisements on your television, even ads on apps. But, you have absolutely zero ideas of knowing what it is and why is it so famous.

So, what it is?

"The Big Ben" is a clock tower with a nickname for the house of Parliament & Elizabeth Tower which located right at the center of Westminister. But, why Big Ben?

The name was given due to the construction of the tower with the gigantic bell in the clock tower that weighs almost 13 tons. The distinguish and unique architecture and the spectacular night scene when four faces of the clock are lighted.

The undeniable charms of the tower has been a definite goal for all 19 millions of visitors who visited London! Which of course, I am one of them :D

Despite it being extremely touristy, it's definitely worth it to have taken a photo of the iconic landmark. It is highly recommended to visit the place extremely early in the morning or during the night to get a perfect shot of the bright orange sunset behind the clock tower.

Big Ben is not the only attraction at Westminister. "The Palace of Westminister" is definitely a place where you rather be if you are into politics and interested in learning more about the UK Parliament.

The palace is open for all public but it is recommended to book a guided tour in order help you discover the history of the parliament. The tour could be found on the official website of parliament.uk with a 90 minutes tour with activities at 25.50 pounds. It is also recommended to get the ticket online rather than on the spot is priced at 28 pounds.

Next, everyone who has been to London must have a must-take shot at the iconic bright red telephone booth! It's slowly been a norm or a tradition to all travelers because it's probably the only city that is still preserving the British traditional and arts. Which I absolutely adore it because of the vibrant colour that brightens up the city.

Please excuse me for being a tourist. Because I am really loving it! That's the public telephone booth that I wished to have everywhere in this whole world because they are just toooo beautiful!

Next, is of course "London Eye"
Just across the river, you'll find all sort of attractions like "The London Dungeon", "SEA Life London Aquarium" and etc.. This is the place where you'll see most of the people hanging out by the river. Having a drink by the river and enjoying the magnificent view of both Big Ben and London Eye.

The Ferris wheel that is powered by Coca-cola is ranked to be the tallest and highest Ferris wheel in all of Europe. With each capsule on the Ferris wheel that weighs 10 tonnes is able to carry the maximum of 25 persons at one time to allow viewers catch a glimpse of the amazing panoramic view of London.

Being located close to the county hall, London Eye projects a high status of London and not to mentioned the illuminated lights during the night that turns the place into a piece of magical wonderland.

While on the other hand, as touristy as the place could be, London never fails to amaze me with their astonishing architectures and especially the churches.

Even though it is not the main entrance that I have taken a photo of, but, it's still magnificent looking. "Westminister Abbey" is probably the next main attraction that comes after Big Ben because of it's beauty. Overloaded tour buses and tourists from all over the world absolutely flooded the place to the extent that I was a little frustrated to enter for a glimpse of the beautiful constructions.

However, I decided to move on to the next location which is equally crowded which is "The Household Cavalry Museum". Looking at the number of people waiting at the gate for its opening left me utterly speechless where I questioned myself, is there any places in London that doesn't have that much of people?

Which I will conclude at the end of this article. So, let's find out :)

IMG_0079.JPG

As time is approaching the parade at "Buckingham Palace", we were moving out feet hastily to catch the parade because it's gone. To our surprise that it wasn't as crowded as we thought it could be, or maybe we were just lucky because we are ahead of time.

However, I manage to get some shots of the Palace before the crowds started to flood the place again.

Upon arriving, I was already being impressed with the gate before even entering the palace. The combination of both dark green with gold projects a very classy and elegant outlook for the palace which I think that it is brilliantly constructed.

If I ever have the chance to build my own house, gold colour has to be there :D

Every corner you went in London is literally a special made spot for you to have an Instragram shot with absolutely no doubts at all!

Lastly, many of you may already know that the United Kingdom is the born place for "Harry Potter". It's absolutely no surprise to be seeing the merchandise and theatre to be in London. Which then I came across this theatre is showing the latest "Harry Potter & The Cursed Child".

IMG_0074.JPG

To end my day, I spent almost the rest of the day relaxing at the "Hyde Park". Enjoying the peace away from the buzzing city life and finally, I found peace at the busiest and most touristy city that I have ever been.

Oh, also a Mexican Burrito with my favourite guacamole :D

Conclusion

As a conclusion, I personally think that London is definitely a very nice city to visit. However, to answer the question above of is it touristy and will you ever find a peaceful place in London. The answer is yes. But it also means that it is very outskirt and also if you're a nature lover who loves being away from the city centre. As for me, I am a nature kind of person, London is definitely not my cup of tea even though the city is full of immense beauty and charms.
