This is also home to the salmon, who return here to spawn in the crystal clear streams where they also becane life.
Ketchikan is also home to a vast rich wildlife of all kinds. With the huge salmon in the local waters, it is not unusual to see the bears fishing in the rivers and streams. Wolves freely roam the forests and the amazing bald eagles fly overhead. Their wing span is amazing. The moose live in the forests and mountains, as well as smaller animals like the winter fox.
