One weekend in Kitzbühel / Austria

Last weekend we have been to Kitzbühel in Austria - the city where the beautiful and rich are coming and going.

Here you can see the "Wild Kaiser" near Kitzbühel with its rough rocks.

In summer you can go hiking in the Kitzbühler Alps or play golf on one of the numerous golf courses. In winter there is the possibility to go skiing in a huge ski area. (You can find some lifts a bit further down in this post)

We booked our holiday apartment via Airbnb for the first time and we were really surprised! In the adivertisment they always tell you "don't go on vacations, live there" and it is true. If you have your own flat you truly live there. A better feeling than in a small hotel room.

But have a look on your own:

We also went hiking. Our tour lasted seven hours (from 9am to 4 pm) with a little break on a beautiful lodge.

Here are some impressions:

This is the "Kitzbühler Horn" - Unfortunately they built a lot of cottages and lifts into the beautiful landscape under the peak... But in winter you can go skiing there :)

Look at this: The lovelier landscape.

After hiking for 5 hours we found this lodge. Nearby is a Kneipp basin where you can take off your shoes and walk in fresh mountain water. If you are there just take a break on the "Bichlalm". It is truly beautiful there.

So if you plan to visit Kitzbühel just contact me and I will give you some tipps where to go :)
