Here we go!
Day #3.
As every day we went to have breakfast on the terrace where an incredible buffet awaits us.
That's it we have our little habits ahah.
For me, it's fresh smoothie, almond milk, fruit plate and healthy bowl (mashed bananas, seeds, nuts and honey). I allow myself a little extra with a good croissant because it's holidays! And on vacation, everything is allowed hahaha.
After a good full breakfast, we went to visit a part of the hotel that we had not seen before. After spending this charming wooden tunnel, we arrived in P A R A D I S E!
The "Sunrise" is at the top of a hill and offers a panoramic view of the sea and the mountains. It's an idyllic place with a great infinity pool and a Balinese bed for relaxation and sunbathing.
From my point of view, this is the most beautiful place in the hotel! It's like being in the middle of the desert with a beautiful oasis where time stops. There is a bar service with hot or cold drinks. For idleness, you will find sun loungers by the pool where the atmosphere is calm and peaceful.
For the bravest, there is also a fitness club near the Sunset with breathtaking mountain views. Imagine exercising and admiring the horizon to completely disconnect from reality! What else?
After a relaxing hour at the Sunset on these magnificent Balinese beds, we have to take a golf car to go to the restaurant "La Casa" which is part of the Resort but outside the complex near the green of golf.
I enjoyed driving this golf car in the mountains. This small restaurant has a fantastic view and a very cute decoration. It offers a menu of different starters and desserts. I let myself be tempted by the mussels with their "marinara sauce".
A true delight! My boyfriend tried a large vegan salad with seasonal vegetables and some grilled vegetables as a side dish. A real treat!
After lunch, we took the car to go to the dunes of Maspalomas.
This is the most visited place in Gran Canaria and I now understand why!
You have endless sand that forms incredible dunes overlooking the sea on one side and the palm trees on the other. It's like being in the D E S E R T =O.
Little advice: if you go to visit these dunes, take closed shoes because the sand is really hot and in sandals, it is not cool XD.
We crossed the dunes to the sea and I have an anecdote to tell you about this moment. A little before arriving on the beach I said to my boyfriend: "It's funny it looks like the woman there is naked!" And he answers me: "Yes because she is naked!" Oops, we did not know part of the beach is actually a nudist beach! Great moment of loneliness XD.
We then walked a little further on the beach on the side that is not naturist of course ... We did not bathe because the water was still a little cold at this time but you admired the view Playa del Inglés. After this short walk we returned to the hotel for the diner. We had our most beautiful outfit, because after dinner we went to dance the salsa la bachata in a small club in Playa del Inglés. It was a very friendly place with a good local atmosphere and good Cuban and Brazilian music =).
