As I saw the theme “house” of city story photo contest for the week, the image white house in Taitung just popped up over my head. So, here the story begins!
The white house located in Taitung City downtown is also well-known as “The Moving Castle of Taitung!” The owner was an old man who spent his entire life building the house with his own hands, and people can tell it from the exterior! Somehow many people don’t know there’s a moving story behind, and that is the reason why the old man made his mind building and defending this house from selling it to the enterprise until his death falling.
We may say that the story is based on a strong belief of a father’s love!
In his lifetime, the old man kept wishing and believing that there would be enough space for both himself and the new family his son has to live together someday! However, his dream never come true until the day he passed away in January of 2017. So we may call the white house “his castle with dreams!”
I don’t know how the story will end in the future, even have no idea how long we can see the white house standing on the land. But there’s one thing I’m certain which is the white house and the story behind do express and pass the love to everyone, it’s about a father’s love for sure!
What we can do is to pass the story through words and pictures, at least, even it may disappear some day, people are able to know there was a white castle built by a father once existed on the land!
看到這週citystory的主題為「房屋」時，這幢小白屋的影象就從我腦中閃過，所以決定就是它作為分享的主角囉！
台東小白屋，也被媒體稱作台東的移動城堡，是一位老伯窮其一生徒手建造的房子，第一眼從外觀看來，多數人都覺得殘破不堪，但在知道了其中的故事後，真心覺得這就是家的定義呀～與家人生活的堡壘！稱作城堡一點也不為過。
老伯一磚一瓦的造屋，希望能提供足夠的空間跟自己的孩子一起生活，雖然這個心願在他生前無法達成，但他堅持自己的信念與這份對孩子的愛，拒絕財團企業的土地收購，或許很多人覺得傻，但這份傻勁仍讓人深深動容！
不知道這幢白屋未來將會如何，但相信這份愛與信念已透過文字與影像傳達出去，並留在每個知道故事的人心中。
