Would you like to have one last walk with us in one of the streets of Tokyo in the Sugamo area because this is again another style with small stores, Mc Donald's, temples and a tramway?
In this post I am going to show you photos of our walk from the Sugamo Station, to the Jizodori Shopping Street and the Koshinzuka Tramway Station.
All photos are mine and taken with my Samsung phone.
A Walk in a Street of Tokyo, Japan!
We went to this area just after going to the Yanaka Ginza shopping street, as it is just a short subway trip away, and we arrived at the Sugamo Station.

This is a map of the area where we had the walk.
First the Sugamo Station and it looks quite modern with shops.
Opposite is the APA Hotel.
There are different restaurants…
… and even a Mac Donald's, Japanese style.
If you are craving a burger, this might be the place to go.
When you continue, you can find the Edorokujizoson Shinsho Temple.
Then, you reach the Sugamo Jizodori Shopping Street.
This is a street that is recommended in Tour guides and that we wanted to see.
Some information about this street:
Sugamo (巣鴨) is a shopping district along Tokyo's Yamanote Line that famously caters to the elderly. The district's popular, 800 meter long Jizo Dori shopping street is also affectionately known as the "Old Ladies' Harajuku" in lighthearted comparison to the Harajuku district's status as one of Japan's foremost youthful shopping and fashion destinations.

There are some very nice shops in this street.
It is usually very crowded, but on that day, that was nice.
There is another temple in that street, which is the Togenuki Jijo Temple.
The Togenuki Jijo Temple's entrance gate.
A messy toy shop.
We had to try one of these machines. For ¥100 ($0.90) you get some small toy.
Then we arrived at the end of the Sugamo Jizodori Shopping Street, and decided to take the tramway at the Koshinzuka Tramway Station.
We got out two stations later, at the Otsuka Station.
That's in the area of the Otsuka Station.
We then took the train back to the Hilton Tokyo Hotel.
I hope that you enjoyed reading this post and seeing all the photos.
