[Travel With Me] Harajuku Takeshita Street

Harajuku is one of the popular tourist attractions in Tokyo and if you happen to be there, why not hop over to Takeshita street? Takeshita street is probably the busiest street in Harajuku and it used to be popular with all kinds of new fashion trends in Japan.

I went on a weekday so I didn't see any which is unfortunate. I'm not sure if it's still a thing in Harajuku these days.

It's also famous for their crepes and you can find a couple of different crepe shops here. One of the popular ones is Marion crepes but I didn't try that one. I went to another shop instead (pictures below).

The Japanese seem to love cats a lot and you'll find cat cafes around the vicinity.

I've seen this particular cat cafe a couple of times in Tokyo. Never entered it though.

I guess the street isn't considered crowded. I've seen photos where it was super crowded and that's probably on a weekend.

Daiso is a popular 100 yen store that sells everything from souvenirs, day-to-day items and even some snacks. It was pretty packed of course because it's hard to find 100 yen items in Japan outside of these 100 yen shops. Most of the items i bought are at least 500 yen and they're pretty expensive if you're from a 3rd world economy.

Daiso does have 200, 300 yen or higher priced items but if there's no price tag, then it's a 100 yen item.

This crepe shop is called Sweet Box and they have a display of all the different flavors. So many to choose from!

The crepes are really soft, like pancakes, unlike some of those I tried in Malaysia. Different style of making I guess.

They use a lot of whipped cream and the cream is super fresh. I think the dairy products are really popular in Japan, especially Hokkaido milk.

This one is filled with fruits and a lot of whipped cream.

This one has ice cream and bananas if I recall correctly.

Have you been to Harajuku? Do you like the crepes here?

This one is Marion crepes and it's definitely more popular here. They have a branch at Tokyo Tower as well.

If you look at the right, there's a Calbee store and they sell all kinds of potato-based food like chips.

This is their potato chips dressed with chocolate and an additional cup of soft serve ice cream. The combination is crazy good and I couldn't have enough of it!

They also had a potato or mushroom soup drink.

Super cute plush at Calbee!

I like how the Japanese love to display their kawaii-ness and she's all in pink lol.

I can only imagine how tiring it is to keep acting cute and invite people to the shop. What surprises me is that they don't really have the "complain" mentality. So different from where I come from.

They sell a lot of Pokemon plush as well, or from other animes/mangas.

Finally found a money exchange machine that accepts Ringgit. Most machines don't want our money for obvious reasons.

I like how this street is vibrant with colors.

For lunch we ended up in a Korean chain, i.e. Lotteria. I had those in Korea as well.

The fried chicken is pretty good.

That's all for today. Thanks for reading.

I appreciate all upvotes, resteems and follows.
