Another thing you can go and see in Kampot is the salt fields and on our way to the pepper plantation that you saw in the last blog post we passed by a huge area of land filled with sea water in order to gather the salt once the heat of the sun evaporated all of the water.
I'd never seen a salt filed in person before only in videos and pictures. I know I Peru there are some amazing salt fields in the sides of the mountainous landscape. Definitely more impressive than these ones in Kampot but there you go we can't have it all at once. Peru is on the bucket list and I'm sure I'll be writing about them when I see them.
Here's a map of the salt fields we visited but there are loads all around Kampot.
