Wow, 13 years have passed. This is a long time.
Great to come back.
A lot of things have changed. Last time I was in Vienna with my wife only. Now, we have 2 girls (8 and 10 years old). So, we have a totally different vacation. As a family, you do things differently. Not a bad thing at all, only different. 😊
The first day we arrived very late and we were desperately looking for a restaurant at the train station. Luckily, Google had a good rating for the restaurant L’Osteria.
I got (honestly) the biggest pizza of my life and the price for this size was pretty cheap. The pizza came on a pizza plate. It is under the pizza. I do not want to trick you, no photoshop.
My girls had one margarita pizza. For sure, it was tooooo much. 😊 The pizza was great: delicious, fluffy dough and good toppings. Love it.
The best museum
We enjoyed really this one week trip. We visited our favorite museum the natural, historic museum again. This is really the best and biggest museum I have ever seen of this kind. The rooms itself are a historical artifact beside the exhibition pieces. The rooms have oil paintings, sculptures and marble everywhere.
I have looked forward to this museum visit since last time there was no existence of computers. 😊 First, I thought this has not changed, but several rooms had computer pads to see more details on the artifacts. Also, they added augmented reality screens and photo stations, where you can put yourself into ancient clothes etc.
Give it a try.
In our roof top flat, we had a fantastic view of Vienna. We enjoyed several sunsets and talks on the terrace. Last time we visited Vienna in February and it was really cold. This time it was the opposite with several days hitting the 30°C mark. Definitely, I like the heat more.
It was great to visit Vienna again and to see the things we missed the first time like the Prater. We might come back ….
