Sound of the Waterfall - Trip to Caracas Part 1

Lately days and nights seem like too much, if i learned something in this city, is that there are no guarantees, nobody gives you nothing... Everything could end up terribly wrong.
-Intro of "Crime" by Gustavo Cerati

Yes, It's a great song. Been in my head all the journey. I know that Cerati talks about Buenos Aires but I couldn't help it. Sorry for my absence, It's been crazy days. I was traveling to Caracas-Venezuela. First for work and second because I love Caracas in despite of everything, but I'm not making this to tell you what you already know, I came to tell you that I could escape from the concerts to go to certain places that I love, And you can love them as I do. The first picture is the Avila.

Caracas is my third favorite city in Venezuela. Is 5 hours by car from my city Barquisimeto (My Favorite city in Venezuela) I went with a friend, who is beautiful, and help me taking the photos. The first day in Caracas she tells me that we can go to visit a very cute town that was two hours away and I must cite it to understand. She tells me:

We will go to the waterfall and then to the Casona

Ok, then. I get that we are going to a river and then to a Big Historical House. So, I need to get ready to go there fast, but when I return to the room after I take a shower my friend was in makeup, and she was wearing a sweater and jeans, and I found it super weird because she just said that we would go to the waterfall, and I ask her... What's up with the jeans? Where is your Swimwear?

And guess what? She last all day long joking about it. The "waterfall" is a mall, and the Casona is another mall.

This town is called San Antonio de los Altos that have of "little town" only the name. They are the largest malls I have seen, one have six floors and the other three and you see that they didn't skimp on expenses, the first one that we visited was the "Waterfall Mall"

29.jpg

It has spiral stairs that in the middle lets see a beautiful waterfall that starts from the third floor and falls to the first where a species of river is born and runs the mall through the middle, has many plants and green areas. Has a bridge that communicates a part of the shopping center with the other building that is also part of the shopping center. See that it doesn't look like a mall at all?

In this town it is normal to be cloudy and have a climate that always seems to rain, and everything is so near. I actually walk into the mall with my soaked slippers. Caracas is a valley and that's why its so cool temperature, even in the mountains in the surroundings when you leave the city you can notice pine forests.

The other shopping center is called "La Casona" is a giant brick structure which gives the feel of a palace. It has an amazing amount of shops, I got lost and everything, a normal store can have three floors. It has a large amplitude as you can see.

21.jpg

It's bigger than the Waterfall Mall, for the size of the mall I saw many people who seemed little. This is the naked eye that has thousands of stores. This part that you see here in the photograph of the pillars, seems to have 3 floors, but the truth is that it has 3 floors further down which you can access by stairs on the sides. I even got lost in this mall of how huge it is

19.jpg

Has artwork hanging from the ceiling like flying horses (smalls like me) and famous art, which unfortunately I could not photograph because of how dangerous is to have a cell phone in view of all. When we could get out, were starving so we buy the first thing that we found here.

To go out to the parking lot and find a restaurant that looked great, like a mansion. Would have waited
