Another recommendable resort for family get together this summer is El Salvador Beach Resort in Danao City, Cebu.
Hi there steemians! For today's DIY PH travel blog, I am showing you the northern part of Cebu province. Let's travel to the other side of Cebu and see what it has in store for us all.
An hour travel from main Cebu City and an array of beach resorts will welcome you to Danao City. This is a coastal city thus seafood is really cheaper here. My husband and I got the chance of visiting the resort together with some colleagues. It wasn't even summer that time but the sun was up and shining throughout the day. We were with kids and adults too but it seemed like the kids had enjoyed the day out compared to the adults.
My colleague poses at the adult pool with mini waterfalls.
Php 175 was the entrance fee at that time and I personally think it is just worth the price. There were two pools, one for the adults which runs from four to nine feet and a shallow one of two feet to four for the kids. At the same time, the kiddie pool has an extension which was a Jacuzzi. Hubby had fun there together with the kids.
James with the kidos at the mini jacuzzi!
Another spot which had made the kids go loco was the playground just very near to the kiddie pool. It was a nice timing that there weren't too much people around so the kids who were with us had owned the pool and the kiddie playground all to themselves.
Aside from the resort having a pool, it won't be called a beach resort without a beach. It was not a high end beach by the way, there was not much shore to walk on but there were activities offered which is suitable for the area. There were one seater and two seater kayaks, two seater pedal boats and jetski for rent.
One of their tropical huts and a beach lounge too.
Pathway to ?
Hubby caught me sleeping in their beach lounge chair, had to get up quickly.
Cottages where also positioned near the beach which by the way bare tree names like Mahugany and such. Those were tropical hut cottages and I like how they had designed it not to mention that it is spacious inside and kept us cool the whole time we were inside the hut.
Here are the list of facilities in the said resort:
- adult swimming pool with waterfalls
- kiddie pool with Jacuzzi
- Elsa Spa and Fitness Gym
- Buddy’s KTV
- Internet/WIFI in some areas
- Coco Restaurant
- Children’s Playground
- Aircon-Function room
- 24 hour standby generator
- 24 hour security
It is also useful to take note that the resort strictly follows a table of items, food specifically which they'll be asking for corkage fees if guests would be bringing inside the resort.
The resort's restaurant's center pieces were really cute so I had to take a photo of it.
How To Get There?
An hour travel from Cebu City with a private vehicle following only the main high way as the resort is located just along the road. Here's the trace: mandaue – consolacion – liloan – compostela – danao. However, if you need to commute, check the next few instructions below.
*
From downtown Cebu City, take a public jeepney vehicles going to SM City Cebu. Normal jeepney codes which can take you are the following:
- 10H/10M
- 01K
- 12I
- 12G
From SM City Cebu, you may take a V-hire @ SM City Cebu V-hire terminal which will go directly to Danao and will pass by the resort. Taking the vhire is much convenient because there's a huge tendency of traffic along Mandaue City road and you don't want to sweat a lot while on a traffic.
