Hi Steemians!
As @richardcrill promised, I have the (belated) scoop on our 2nd day adventure in Tulum, Mexico! Sorry it's not exactly timely - I had issues posting on my account in Mexico. Hopefully it works this time!
To start the day off, we biked our sore butts to this amazing coffee shop, Ki bok - they make the best cortados! I had the most amazing chilaquiles - I've seriously eaten my weight in tortilla chips on this trip. They're so much better here - none of that weak, chip breaking off in the salsa kind we have back home.

From there, we mapped out the cenote that we wanted to visit. There are so many cenotes in Tulum, we had a hard time choosing one to go to, but thankfully, some of the locals helped us narrow down to the best ones. The one we chose was called Gran Cenote & it did not disappoint - it was absolutely gorgeous! It was more like two cenotes with a passageway between that you could swim under. The water was cool & crystal clear - exactly what you wanted after biking in this Tulum heat.
The water was freeeeeezing! Hence this facial expression
The cenote was pretty crowded but when you were swimming through the caves, you hardly noticed. So many cool spots to get some hang time! Also, can we just talk about how much @richardcrill looks like a merman?
We swam in the cenotes for a couple of hours and biked back to Tulum. This is us pre-sunburn!
The rest of the days festivities included going out to the best mojito bar in the city, Batey's on Centauro Sur & eating not once, but twice that evening. I'm pretty sure I went to bed at a ridiculously early time - a full belly and a day full of biking/swimming will do that to you! Follow @richardcrill for Day 3 as we visit the Dos Ojos Cenote & the Tulum Mayan ruins on the beach!
Adios, amigos!
