LSCOTTPHOTOS To San Fran and Back Again: A Photographer's Tale (Original Photos)

So I started a steemit account and I've posted a few cute pictures. But I realized that not many people know much about me and I figured it was time to change that! So I've decided to take the time to tell you all what's been up lately!

Nothing! But seriously... the last event that is worth mention was my family vacation to San Francisco! Here are some pictures from the trip so you all can get to know me and my fam!

The first day was filled with travel… Driving 4 hours to Minneapolis, three hours flying, and another 4 hours driving. Exhausting. Finally we reached our AirBnb. This was the view from the deck.

We made friends with the wildlife quickly when we discovered this little guy liked cheese. In honor of his taste, we named him Queso!

A good night of sleep and we were ready to explore. The second day we visited the Red Wood forest. Looking at trees that stretched hundreds of feet into the sky made me feel so small but strangely important as well. These trees lived for hundreds of years and have seen thousands of people come and go. It felt timeless and ethereal to be standing next to them.

We also visited the beach of course. Talk about another shock to my system as I stared out at the ocean with wide eyes and slack jaw. Again, I felt tiny in comparison.

The third day, we went for an intense hike in a different section of the red woods… more specifically, we crawled up a mountain. The view was stunning. Standing at the windy peak, I panted to catch my breath as I reveled in the satisfaction of pushing my body to its physical limits.

The fourth day, we left our comfy cabin in the woods to stay at a tiny apartment in the middle of downtown. A forest of trees transformed into a crowd of people and the gentle breeze turned into the sound of dozens of foreign languages.

The fifth day, we wandered the fishermen’s wharf, visited an aquarium, and took a boat tour around the Bay. Seeing the variety of ocean life in person instead of on the television screen was humbling. I felt an instant connection to the beauty of life again looking at the sea lions lounging on the docks and the harbor porpoises following the wake of our boat.

The sixth and final day, we again wandered the packed streets of San Fran and made our way to the Golden Gate Park. So many different people and so many different activities…

It was an amazing trip with amazing views and amazing people!
I took many more pictures but I'll spread those out ;)
