Montreal's Gardens of Light

Last autumn I attended the 25th edition of the Chinese Lantern Festival in Montreal, held in the Botanical Garden. It was magical.

The Gardens of Light were only lit at night. The Chinese Garden displayed its traditional lanterns and presented an amazing fishing tale where the dragon (symbolizing China) was the star.

Wandering on the paths of the Gardens of Light was a spectacular experience.

The lanterns are constructed in Shanghai, shipped to Canada and then assembled by a team of local workers within close to two months.

Here are some photos taken with the phone.

If you ever find yourself in Montreal during autumn, keep in mind that between September 8th through the end of October, you must go visit the Botanical Garden.
