It's getting pretty late here at home, but tonight I wanted to share some photos I took on my last cruise with @donvee. It was our 9th cruise together, and this one went to a few places we've never been before.
These were all taken in St. Kitts. @donvee and I, along with my parents and nephew, a woman from Portugal, and a young couple from England found a driver to take us on a tour when we got off the ship. We usually don't book the ship-sponsored shore excursions. I feel they're overpriced, crowded, and not a very good value. And they wouldn't let you go and hold someone's monkeys.
Our driver for the day took us all over the island, then to a beautiful beach where we had a few hours to swim and relax before going back to the busy port area.
We stopped at a little roadside market where we had a view of both the Atlantic and the Caribbean.
Our driver told us that there are more monkeys than people on the island. I haven't checked to see if that's a fact, but I believe him. While we were driving back from the beach we could see monkeys just sitting on the side of the road, watching the cars go by.
My nephew wanted to bring one home, of course. Luckily there were more people around the ship that offered to let him hold theirs.
Thanks for checking out my post! I hope you enjoyed it.
