Hello Travelholics! Welcome to another episode of "Travel With Me". Today, we'll be heading towards the incredible Samet Island in Thailand.
This small but beautiful island is a popular tourist destination in Rayong province.
To get to the island, you need to ride a speedboat from the mainland.
The boat is very shaky, like one of those carnival rides, which I enjoyed. The view is quite awesome too.
Travelling to the island got us really hungry so we looked for some affordable local restaurant. What you're looking at is "Grilled Pork in Green Curry Sauce with some Veggies". Looks delicious right? It really is. You can hear everyone saying "aroy makk!" (Thai word for very tasty).
After lunch, we went to checkout the beach and it's "Sug Yood!" (Awesome!)
After a full day of fun activities, I and my friends got hungry again so we decided to have dinner early near the bay. The relaxing view and the refreshing sea breeze definitely boosted our appetites.
PS: I'm the only Filipino in this picture; the rest are Thai, but I can't see the difference actually. LOL!
And then the sun decided to go down with a magnificent view. It truly is "suwai makk" (spectacular).
And guess what, for the entire trip, I only spent around USD 50 (2,500 in Philippine peso) inclusive of transportation (van and speedboat), food (5 meals) and hotel accommodation (1 night). It's "tsuk makk!" (totally worth it)!
