SeanyTravels (Japan-Fukuoka) #3 Fukuoka Tower & Momochi Seaside Park

I stayed at an airbnb near Yakuin station and everything was really convenient for me there.
Taking a straight bus out after shopping for some drinks and snacks, we headed for the Fukuoka Tower landmark.

The weather was windy and nice, and although it wasn't sunny, it's still a really nice time to visit the seaside. When you first arrive you will notice the tallest building there, and it is without question, the Fukuoka Tower.
One plus about visiting this landmark is that it is just beside the seaside, where you can take a walk around the Momochi seaside park first before heading up. And that is exactly what we did!

the sky is clear on this beautiful day out

Many people came here to jog, cycle and just have a relaxing fun time out with their friends. There were some university students who came here for something like an orientation. They were playing volleyball and we sat there having our mini picnic as we observed what was happening around. It was a really relaxing day out and we were really happy for such good and clear weather that day.

among the visitors, included corgi!

The view of the Fukuoka Tower was amazing from the beach area.
We took our time at the beach and planned to go up so that we were able to see the process of the sunset.

We purchased our tickets, and a guide brought us to the lift to bring us up.

let's head up!

We were just there awhile ago!

The Fukuoka Tower is the tallest seaside structure in Japan. And we found some interesting information while touring around.

I can see SG 4,530km away!

Personally, there is not too many things to do in the tower, and you might be disappointed. But if you came just for the sight, then it should be fine.

We saw that it was about time for sunset, and you could see the orange in the sky taking over the blue, so we headed for a snack at the cafe on top, and sat there and waited for a nice sight.

we ordered pancakes!

So take a look at this mini time lapse of the sun setting. Enjoy!

The quality was compromised because we had to take from behind glass and window, it was a little reflective.

By the time we got down, there were many people around the place trying to take a photo of the illumination at the Fukuoka Tower. It was quite nice. However, we did not come during the day where they had special illumination. But it was not too bad.

too tough to take a full portrait photo

Overall, it was a really fun and relaxing day out as we got to enjoy the Seaside and the sights of the tower. The sea really has a calming effect. Because this is the only main structural landmark around this area, you might want to visit it once just to see how it is from the top. But if you are looking for many things to do that day, this might not be the best choice. It's great that the tower is just beside the seaside area, as you would be able to get many photo worthy moments on the same day!
