One thing that strikes with Thais, is their natural kindness. Ask for an address in the street and you will see they have at heart to help you even though they do not necessarily speak English (far from it and let's not even talk about French). This also comes from kindness that Thais like to give a good image of their country and their culture.

Intriguing trait of character: Thai will always be discreet, they never raise their voices. If you are in trouble, they always expect you to call them before intervening. Another trait of character is quite remarkable os the attachment to their Thai religions; they are Buddhist or Muslim religious life is very present and very rich. You can find everywhere altars with statutes and offerings to the dead. Warning monks have privileged status in Thailand, it would be wrong to disrespect them. Known as the land of people who smile, Thai, regardless of their living conditions and even in the most remote countryside, love sport a smile at all times.

I only stayed 3 weeks, I could not tell you if that famous smile is a form of polite reserve or an authentic gift ... After all, what is important is our perception, so I prefer the second option . Finally, and this is more than remarkable, Thais are honest people. Do not think to haggle for hours, it would be vain; at the same time prices are often fair and even taxis never think to rip you off.
