Luxury Dinner in Jeju

One of the most amazing moment in tour is having delicious local food, especially in my case.
We tried to discuss what to eat in dinner and concluded to have hairtail fish.

It is not easy to have a fresh hairtail fish on the land, because the hairtail fish die as soon as being caught.

And there are not so many hairtail fish around Korean sea due to the change of climate.
When we were kid, the hairtail fish was one of the main source of protein.
But now, fresh hairtail fish is regarded as the expensive fish.

And as you experienced, we missed the food what we ate in childhood. Mom also agreed with us.

As soon as we got to the restaurant, we ordered the grilled hairtail fish.
A waiter told us it took 20 minutes for preparing food.

They served the side dish first, but the side dish was excellent.

They prepared for the hairtail fish sashimi and the sea vegetables.
We can taste the hairtail fish sashimi only in Jeju island for its freshness.

While tasting sashimi, the grilled hairtail fish was served.
About 2 feet long size of the hairtail fish was set on the table.
The waiter removed the fine bones on the table to eat comfortably.

The taste ?

It was excellent. But I couldn’t feel the same taste as much as when I ate it in my childhood.
Why do I feel the taste in my childhood was much more delicious than today’s ?
