Namsan mountain in Gyeongju was very important place of Shilla dynasty.
The first king of Shilla was believed to be born near Namsan mountain, and the first palace had been built near Namsan.
Actually almost of all relics of Shilla dynasty had bee found around the Namsan mountain.
I headed for Poseokjeong on foot to enjoy the scene of country side of Gueongju.
Poseokjeong was a king’s entertaining facility of Shilla dynasty.
The road to Poseokjeong was exceptionally beatifull, I had to stop to enjoy it’s beauty.
I couldn’t remember exact place, but the country side road was so awesome.
There I had took the photos for several minutes.
I walked through this beautiful alley. It gave me a subtle amusement in my heart.
But what I saw at the very end of the alley made me think the meaning of our lives.
I came across the graves by the road.
As I had posted before, the graveyards used to be located in mountain area in Korea.
Mountain has had special meaning in the ancient religion in Korea.
Mountain had been to believed as a place of God.
As passing through the grave area, I asked myself how to live my life.

Finally I arrived at Poseokjeong.
There was nothing left except the trace of the stone structures.
There stood the pines around Poseokjeong.
Poseokjeong was not a big structure.
It was a stone water road to deliver the glasses of wine.
Water flowed from high to low along the stone road.
It seemed that about 10 - 2o persons could sit down along the stone water road.
While drinking, they could enjoy the dance of beautiful women.
Shilla dynasty had been collapsed for 1000 years history.
Actually Poseokjeong was a place relating to the collapse of Shilla dynasty.
The last second king of Shilla dynasty Kyeongae was prisoned by other competitive country of later Baekje kingdom which succeeded the former Baekje dynasty collapsed by Shilla dynasty.
King Kyeongae was forced to commit suicide and Shilla dynasty could last no more.
There were stone pieces scattered near Poseokjeong.
The scattered stones seemed to tell me the destiny of collapsed kingdom.
Thank you for reading.
