There was an observatory near Byeokgol-jae. I could look around the scenery near Byeokgol-jae reservoir.
Korea is a country of the mountains. You can see the mountains everywhere in Korea.
But this area is the only place you cannot see the mountains. And it is the only place you can see the horizon on the earth. That’s the reason why they built the observatory here.
When stepping up the observatory, I could see the dragons. Some one told me there was a legend that two dragons had lived in this reservoir. In ancient Korean agricultural society, the dragons were God of the rain.
So ancient people prayed the dragons for the rain.
They made two dragons statues near the reservoir for the memory of the old legend.
There was some interesting patterns on the rice field. That was impressive. May be they tried to show the travelers the impressive scenes.
On the front ground of the observatory, some plants were displayed. They were so lovely.
I’d like show fellow steemians those lovely plants.
The first day of my tour was successful.
