Dear Steemit Friends:
Christmas is no doubt a busy and festive period. Most people will be looking for an opportunity to buy their friends and family Christmas presents. The streets are always bustling with activity, people singing Christmas carols, Xmas trees everywhere, last minute Xmas shopping. Join me as I take a walk through one of the busiest streets of Hong Kong.
I love these emoji plushies for sale, so cute!

If you get tired of walking, or need a rest from the heat, you can come try the Swallows nest store. Since the climate in Hong Kong is warm all year round, it can feel very stuffy and humid. Generally quite uncomfortable for long periods of time and can even cause dehydration, coughing and rising internal heat. For relief, people like to drink beverages made with swallows nest. It's a very therapeutic drink which helps dissipate excess phlegm, re-hydrate, and of course beautify!
During the winter/autumn months, Hong Kong is known for it's dry heat, so shop fronts will often sell various cool swallows nest drinks. I tried a bottle of the peach flavoured one but I found it to be a little too sweet. Still, it tasted refreshing and it even had little bits of jelly in the drink.
You can also get swallows nests in boxes as shown in the photo. Because Hong Kong is a port of trade, transporting goods is very convenient and also subject to lower taxes. This means you can get the best prices on swallows nest here.
There are also plenty of Japanese imported health products for sale too.

This bridge commemorates the history of the Olympic games. One step for every year. It's very interesting.
Hong Kong's news stand kiosks are some what of a precious relic. With the convenience of the internet, and the propagation of information over the web, many traditional forms of media are quickly becoming redundant or superseded. Many cities no longer have these news stands for this reason. However, all over the streets of Hong Kong you will find these little kiosks selling all sorts of magazines and newspapers. Many Mainland Chinese people will come to Hong Kong just to stock up on newspapers and magazines from Hong Kong.

Can you find me on the big screen?
This is a little Steemit video I made. Since i'm still away from home travelling, I couldn't edit the video very easily but I hope you guys still like it!
