Enchanted by Green Giants - Khao Yai, Thailand (Part 2)

Enchantment isn't limited to the confines of Khao Yai National Park, there are many quaint locations outside of the park's stronghold and I would like to share a few of these with you in Part 2 of this blog.

Primo Piazza

We stumbled across this Tuscan styled village/town by chance when cruising past in our car. I thought it was quite unusual and thought it would be interesting to take photos and for my son to feed the animals they had there. The wannabe Tuscan town is surrounded by towering green peaks and really is quite an idyllic location, although a little 'false'. The mock-up township has a restaurant and small holding at the back for children to enjoy. Here are a few snaps to enjoy:

PB Valley Khao Yai Winery

This winery is just over 22 km from the entrance of the national park, you can go there just for a wander around, wine tastings, tours of the vineyard or a bite to eat. We decided to just go for a wonder around. I would advise going early morning, or late afternoon, as it is face-melting hot by midday and we were ready to leave when the Solar giant was at its pinnacle.

Farm Chokchai

This is the largest dairy farm in South Asia, with some tongue tantalisingly tasty milk. This titan of the dairy farming world is a fantastic place to take the children and has one of the most mouthwatering, delicious burgers I have ever eaten in my life! Inside the farm they whisk you away on a tour, utilising a traditional tractor and pedestrian trailer. Youngsters are offered the chance to milk cows, ride horses, feed farm animals, watch cowboy shows and the adults can ride ATVs. Farm ChokChai has a vast expanse of land, allowing plenty of grazing space for their prize cattle.
