I live in a small village named Inchanga. It's not well known but those who do know of it, automatically thinks of the train.
Inchanga's village has a total of 40 houses. Nothing much happens here but for one day a month. The day the trains run. On that day the village comes alive with vibrant new faces from the tourists. There is a craft market and some fun activities such as riding ponies, life music and taking a look at the museum (for free).
Some of the vendors at the craft market have been doing their crafts for a couple of decades and give up their usual spot at the farmers market for that one day.
The weekend that past we had the fortunate event of having two train days. Saturday had another surprise in store, a vintage car show. Daniel and I arrived just as people where starting to pack up so I wasn't able to get photo's of all the cars but here is what I got.
If you are ever around the Durban area, feel free to come and support the local talent. The next train will be running on the last Sunday of October.
Till next time
xoxo
