How To Rent A Car For Traveling Around Japan | 怎樣租車遊日本 🚗🚙

We are going to Japan in a few weeks so I've been really busy trying to plan the trip and book accommodation as it was a last minute decision. One thing I need to book like all our other Japan trip was a car as we are going to drive around into the countryside away from the city.

I normally prefer larger websites but today I am going to introduce you to a very trustworthy site which finds you the best deals for big branded car hire companies. I used it last year when we went to Japan so we are intending to use them this year also. It is called Tocoo

The site is in English and the responses from email enquires are also in English so there is no need to worry about the language barrier. The site also offers Korean and Chinese

There are a few requirements we need:

English GPS
Child Seats
Non Smoking Car

So the site has given us a few options. These two are the ones I think I like at the moment.

Note that there is a ETC card which is automatically ticket. This card is like an automated toll card which you pay the car rental on your toll fees at the end of the hire. So every time you go pass a toll, the machine will 'beep' in the car and the data gets loaded onto the car.

要注意的是每架車要一張ETC 卡。每次你用完一條公路要收通行費。每次過公路 ETC 卡會紀錄下來之後還車的時候，租車公司會按照這張卡的紀錄來加上收費。每次你開過一條公路裡面的幾會響一次。

The car seat is also an additional option which we need for the boys

Lastly you complete your reservation of the car. The option we have for our car is we pay when we get there. There are options you can pay ahead of time but we prefer not pay for now.
