Traveling the World #36 (North America Series) Snowboarding Adventure in Whistler [3] @ Canada 🇨🇦-

Hi Steemians,

Today will be the final part of my snowboarding adventure in Whistler. If you only have just come across this blog, you can find the first two parts below:

Snowboarding Adventure: Part 1 & Part 2

The adventure we will go on today is going to the Whistler mountain peak. Elevation is 2182m so going up from the bottom will require a few sets of chairlifts. Due to the number of chairlifts we need to take up, you need to cater at least 30 minutes just to get up to the top from the bottom of the first chairlift.

At the top of the mountain there is the 2010 Winter Olympic logo where many people will take a photo before going down the slopes. The statue is called Ilanaaq and is the Eastern Canadian Inuktitut word for 'Friend'. Because we are at the very top of the mountain, it was so cold I couldn't take off my mask to take a proper picture.

Yes wifi even up on the slope! Check out how much snow there was - the snow is starting to cover up the sign.

Some of the different slopes available - each one of them has runs catering to all sorts of levels - just need to check the map before you go up the mountain.

These guys at the chairlift stations have helped me a few times as my weak point is getting of the chairlift without falling - yes very embarrassing

The view here is absolutely stunning!

There are so food stations for people who need to recharge or rest. Not bad options considering we are like 2km up on a mountain

Plenty of parking for people who wish to come here as a day trip

Other than snowboarding, we ate a lot of food! The food options here was endless. I had a lot of dessert as well.

This place purely sell tea leaves or you can order tea to go. Great for the cold weather outside.

Lastly, every night, we would meet up with the other friends and have a great meal together sharing stories for the day and plan what to do for the next day.
