Hi Steemians,

Today I will continue to take you around the annual Snow Sculpture on the Sun Island at Harbin, China. If you have missed the first part, you can find it here.

Beside the area where people were carving their sculptures for the competition, there were lines of trees which seemed like it can go on forever. Everything looked bare as the weather was too cold for any leaves or flowers to survive.

Our friend bought a thermometer to check how cold the weather was ... nearly -20 degrees! Here my friends attempt to take a video of the thermometer but the weather was too cold and the camera froze.

Do you see the hut on the left of the photos? They the cafes scattered around the park for people get take a rest or get a drink to keep themselves warm. The prices for the drinks aren't cheap at all!

This park was huge! We couldn't see all of the sculptures as the weather was just too cold so we just decided to look at it from afar

Notice that my nose looks super red - it's because the temperature was dropping very quickly as the sun was already setting.

This picture was taken just as the camera decided to freeze up again. After a few minutes of warming it with some body heat, we were able to take photos again.

We were talking to one of the participants for this team and they took us over to their artwork. They told us they were trying to make a castle tower of some sort - we were just amazed how high it was. They even made stairs on the side of the sculpture so they can go up and down easily rather than use a ladder like some teams with smaller artworks.

As the sun was setting, lights were slowly turning on which created a new atmosphere around the park

Look how pretty this bridge was at night - compared to what we saw during the day, it gives a completely different look to it. We were just taking a few photos before our driver picked us up.
