Dear Steemit friends and followers,

Welcome to my Travel Tip series where I promote some of the most beautiful places, interesting landmarks and impressive architectural sites of my homeland, the Czech Republic.

Today, I will take you to what considered one of the best pieces of Saxon architecture in the Czech Republic, the famous Benesov nad Ploucnici Chateau Complex.

Located in the historic center of the little town of Benesov nad Ploucnici in the northern part of the country, the Benesov nad Ploucnici Chateau Complex is a unique chateau complex consisting of seven historic buildings - two chateaus (the Upper Chateau and the Lower Chateau), three palaces, one church and one chapel.

With its origin dating back to the early 16th century when the town became the official seat of the noble Saxon family of the Salhausens, the complex is now owned and governed by the National Landmark Institution of the Czech Republic that also gave it the status of the National Cultural Landmark.
