Welcome to my Travel Tip series where I promote some of the most beautiful places, interesting landmarks and impressive architectural sites of my homeland, the Czech Republic.
Today, I will take you to one of the most beautiful nature reserves in the country called Byci Skala.

Located in the protected natural area of the Moravian Karst, between the towns of Adamov and Krtiny, Byci Skala is a national nature reserve that occupies almost 182 ha of breathtaking and very diverse nature.

Meaning "the bull´s rock" in the Czech language, the Byci Skala Nature Reserve was founded in 2003 to protect the original beech and oak forests that cover most of the its area. Another important part of the reserve is made up by a unique network of karst caves and underground rivers.

A popular tourist attraction, the Byci Skala Nature Reserve is also home to numerous wildlife species, including incredible 950 species of butterfly, a number of bats, fish, birds and amphibians.
