Overlook views on an off-shoot trail at Frozen Head State Park in East Tennessee. Here, I'm sitting on a bald rock with my dog and my dear Alhen enjoying a sandwich before continuing on to the top of the hike. At the conclusion of the hike is a fire tower you can climb to view a panoramic view of middle-east Tennessee mountains.
Frozen Head's north + south Old Mac trails are about eight miles round-trip and are always a lovely walk. We try to go once every season to see the leaves change and grow. Recently, we found out that the Barkley Marathon, elusive and beyond ridiculous, might be held here. ðĪŠ Alhen is an avid runner and has been quite obsessed with the race, so we may be spending more time at Frozen Head this upcoming year... ðââïļ
