I decided to enter this contest Hope everyone enjoys
STEP 1: rough sketch getting the ideas from my head down on paper
STEP 2:Start sketching out my ideas onto a larger piece of paper. This drawing is done on 11x17 in. Bristol board. At this stage I'm keeping all my lines loose and free. Just trying to capture my original thought.
Step3:Perspective!!! Here i;m laying out the basic perspective for the piece. I just kept the perspective simple in this piece. Later on i'll teach some basic and advancedPerspective.
Step 4: Anatomy! at this stage I erase everything down with a kneaded eraser and start constructing the anatomy of the characters. They are starting to take FORM now.
Step 5:Light and Shadow! At this point I begin blocking in where the spotted blacks are going to go. Before I did the thumbnail sketch I already had a good idea of where the light and shadows were going to go.
Step 6: Start filling in the spotted blacks adding some rendering as I go
Step 7: Almost finished! Going throughout the piece fixing line weights and adding rendering where I feel like it needs it. I'm also on the look out for any tangents that have slipped by during the whole process.
Thanks for checking my art out. I will have a video of this drawing put up on @Dtube when the editing is done. Be sure to look out for that.
