The Tuskegee Study of Untreated Syphilis in the Negro Male (informally referred to as the "Tuskegee Syphilis Experiment," the "Tuskegee Syphilis Study," the "Tuskegee Study of Untreated Syphilis in the African American Male," the "U.S. Public Health Service Syphilis Study at Tuskegee," or the "Tuskegee Experiment") was an ethically abusive study conducted between 1932 and 1972 by the United States Public Health Service (PHS) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The purpose of this study was to observe the natural history of untreated syphilis. Although the African-American men who participated in the study were told that they were receiving free health care from the federal government of the United States, they were not.
The Public Health Service started the study in 1932 in collaboration with Tuskegee University (then the Tuskegee Institute), a historically black college in Alabama. In the study, investigators enrolled a total of 600 impoverished African-American sharecroppers from Macon County, Alabama. Of these men, 399 had latent syphilis, with a control group of 201 men who were not infected. As an incentive for participation in the study, the men were promised free medical care, but were deceived by the PHS, who never informed subjects of their diagnosis and disguised placebos, ineffective methods, and diagnostic procedures as treatment.

According to NPR
"They had local leaders, church leaders, medical people to convince them to become involved with the study," says Owens, a nurse at the Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System.
Tuskegee, now a city of about 8,000 people, has a storied African American history as home to the Tuskegee Airmen. Booker T. Washington and George Washington Carver were educators here.
But the syphilis study also looms large in Tuskegee's collective memory. Owens, who is 59, says she remembers hearing about it in elementary school, so she understands why people in this nearly all-Black community are skeptical when the government says to take a shot.
"They felt that the government really wanted to inject something in their bodies and they were going to eventually die from that," Owens explains.
To help dispel that notion, Owens penned an op-ed, published in the local newspaper The Tuskegee News, including a photo of her getting a shot of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Now My question IS. . .how can she guarantee there are no side effects. . .how does history Not Repeat itself?
From where I'm standing, there is NO Way she or anyone in the medical industry can Guarantee there are no long term effects. . .but they haven't seen the future!

Documentation of a true story.
No doctor nor their doctor's office should be holding medications hostage. The doctor talked to you on the phone before for an appointment and could have done the same again.
Everyone is well aware there are tele doc services available especially due to the pandemic, so the attempts at trying to force you in are uncalled for.
Your case manager agreed with me that you were a fall risk and she also did not want you to catch something else. Only makes more sense for a tele visit and use the in homes nurses findings to get the vitals they want for filling the scripts you already have. Usually they have their nurse in the office take the vitals anyhow, so their "excuse" once again does not add up.
That comment they made to you, "Can't or Won't?" was uncalled for and unprofessional. The case manager told me what I had experienced trying to get Kelsey help with her asthma, too many of the receptionists try to rule the roost and get heavy handed in making decisions.
When I had to light a fire under that doctor's office [politely and nicely of course as you catch more flies with honey] because they were hem hawing around and passing the buck trying to claim they couldn't do anything to get you a home nurse, the Case Manager verified it WAS their job as you had already been released from the hospital so the order had to come from your primary care physician. They kept trying to pass the buck and use HIPPA as a distraction to employ circle talk. So when they attempted for the hundredth time, I let them know we didn't need to worry about HIPPA. I didn't need any medical info on you from them, already had what I needed from the ER docs and nurses. I needed the primary physician's nurse or physician to call you, the patient directly. They agreed with me there was no reason this could not be done.
In other words had to get rid of the middle man, the receptionist. Then apparently the nurse and doctor passed the buck too as I heard the doctor myself when I was connected in on that call visit. When you mentioned the HIPPA deal they usually tried to distract with, she said she would have them send you the HIPPA paper work, two more weeks passed, Never did! Still, you are the patient, no reason even without HIPPA they couldn't contact you as they had before and get you the needed prescription.
As I told you before, ultimately this falls on the doc's shoulders for not getting your side of a story. No matter how flat you make a pancake, there are always two sides!
Also the nurse in that doc's office trying to claim they could not use the vitals from the In Home Nurses which was ridiculous! Trying to be proprietary over a patient's health care demonstrates first hand lack of concern for the patient over an agenda and once again the need to fix the health care industry in our country.
The doctor's office should also be held culpable for not checking with the latest information on your diagnosis of bacterial pneumonia prior to giving you a prescription med that 3 ER docs told me lowered breathing. You already had oxygen issues.
So you can see the blatant dichotomy. In one instance they give you a med I watched with my own two eyes because I was sleeping in the same bed with you when Daddy was in the hospital which helped me see through the night if you were still breathing. The night you took that, you got nauseous before bed and a little dizzy. Got you back to bed, you did better through the night as the med left your system. Your oxygen readings were also very low after that med prior to sleeping and the ER docs told me that is what it does. Then in the morning you were more yourself. I took your oxygen levels and it was improved, about what it had been. You were fine, almost chipper before you took some more of that med [narcotic she gave you for your knee] I had advised you not take, as I was at the hospital with daddy when you first took it, then advised it not be taken any more [I think when you returned home you said you flushed it]. You got severely dizzy, nauseous and fell when you were in the bathroom. I knew that med needed to come out of you in order to get your oxygen back up. I prayed and God got it out of you, but it was a difficult road.
So they gave you the narcotic that has been proven to lower breathing and here you already were at risk with lower oxygen levels as it was suspected you had a form of pneumonia since daddy had it, yet then after being in the hospital they were holding your prescriptions you were already taking hostage if you didn't come in. They wouldn't refill them. That is clearly a blatant dichotomy! I also found out they were not being proactive in getting the information on what all had occurred during your stay in the ER and ICU because they were asking me and your Case Manager said they should have that info and it is their duty to get it. So you see, lots of dropping the ball from that office and I wouldn't want them in charge of my health if it were me.
Does make you wonder if they Knew they could be held culpable.
I didn't mention it to them as I wasn't the one who picked the med up, so it is possible the hospital flagged it since I had 3 ER docs talk to me, one of them even caught me in the hall and asked about that med again. They felt as I did, that med should have been flagged and never should have been given.
Perhaps your doctor's office knew they had been shown to drop the ball on proper protocols, there was an undeniable paper tail, so were wanting to unload as soon as possible since I was documenting and so was the ER each time they asked what you had already been given prior to the fall.
Or maybe it was because they couldn't force their will on you through their passing the buck and bully tactics.
Either way, I told you, you are better off with a doctor's office that will treat you with care.
When my doctor's office did what they did to me, Kelsey and Damon, I made a tele doc appointment and asked her point blank if she could hear all of them shouting in there, when it was only the three of us in the waiting room and numerous staff ganging up. There was a resin shield between us and all staff had on masks so we were not putting them at risk. I even tried to show them the governor's exemption all verified and one shouted when the others tried to look at the paperwork. . ."Don't look at that." It was eery and creepy they way they acted. I also heard, though I had not complained to anyone there, though did a report on my YT channel they removed. . .the doc, who threatened us with security after He was the one screaming, and I said, "Please send them in". . .he was removed!
She said she did not, and I do know her office was at the end of the building, but they wouldn't have let her come out anyhow. She left that practice and went her own way. She had already said she would see Kelsey without a mask as she was the one who diagnosed years prior both Kelsey and me with severe asthma and had written notes through that office staff that Kelsey could not wear a mask for work. See how they refuse to employ common sense? Something is amiss in the medical field. I value the Good nurses and docs, but something is wrong with the system over all!
There are some good docs out there, bottom line, right now the sold out in the medical industry are being exposed as the good nurses and doctors don't like the way the nefarious and arrogant have behaved! #DarkToLIGHT
Praying you find a doc with a holistic bent as God already put in the schematic ways to heal without their predatory pharmakia.
