Harmony from Discord

They spend a winter afternoon
rehearsing harmony for a tune
to be performed at a future date
for others to enjoy what they create.
She fumbles on the third refrain
He patiently retrains her brain
to follow lines that live inside
his mind though for now they hide.
The note will finally click with her
And both rejoice at this answer
she has found within her voice
as harmony becomes the only choice.
They move on to another song
Where harmonies are just as strong.
Today's rehearsal has revealed
the duet's talent will not yield.
And there will be a sparkling show
Where people far and wide will know
that all it takes is harmony
to have a life that's truly free.
