The sketch looked perfect. That in terms of Steve was a great achievement.
He continued adding the final details of the new character he had created for his story, he had never felt more pleased in life than the day he sold his first physical comic.
He didn't was very popular yet and many criticized his work saying that the story was very cliché.
The story about an ordinary boy about to leave high school and at night is one of the best hackers that even the government couldn't trace at first seemed incredible.
But as always there are criticisms. That instead of demotivating him, pushed him to add a new character to his story, put feelings into the story.
The new character was a simple girl with long black hair under his shoulders, brown eyes and a characteristic small mole on his cheek under his left eye.
A current girl with a sweet name. Sussy, that's what she would be called. But behind all that normal appearance is nothing more and nothing less than the most respected hacker of the deep web. Unknowing that his new partner and later friend would be his number one rival.
Just thinking about his story brought a big smile to Steve.
Sussy would work in an small and ordinary coffee shop that sits under apartment blocks where, Casually, the main character named Matt lives.
Steve finished painting the coffee shop in the background where Sussy works and was inspired by that of his uncle who, like the comic, is under his apartment.
Steve was grateful that after weeks of insisting to his uncle he would have allowed it.
Just when he finished Steve heard his phone vibrate, he hated to be interrupted while he was drawing but just because he had finished he ignored the small and odious voice in his head that was irritated by everything.
"Yes?" - Steve isn't the most sociable in the world in any field.
"Nephew!!"
The unmistakable voice of his uncle brought out a smile.
"Hello uncle, do you need something?"
"I need you to move your ass and come down here, we have a new dessert and I want you to prove it and give me your opinion"
Steve couldn't be more grateful in his life, few friends, yes, desserts, unlimited .
"I'm down in a second"
He hung up and hurried down, when he is usually busy and his phone doesn't answer his uncle usually takes part of his time to go up and take him some dessert.
Steve has always loved living with his uncle since his parents sent him for they had been busy with their business trips.
He never was more grateful for something.
Already at the entrance of the small coffee shop was Received by a huge hug from his uncle.
"Take it, you have to prove this, it's like eating a piece of heaven"
His uncle put in his hands a plate with a small sweet orange with many decorations and small pieces of fruit on top.
He raised his fork and was about to taste it when a girl with the uniform of the coffee shop approached to the bar where Steve and his uncle were.
What the hell?
Steve was with open-mouthed, that girl was not identical, she really was the new character who Steve had just finished just a few seconds ago.
The girl noticed the look on her and gave him a wink with her left eye. Steve froze when he noticed the same mole as his character.
The girl turned and went to one of the tables where she was called.
Was someone making him a joke?
"Did you like Sussy Nephew?" - the curious expression of his uncle took him out of his astonishment.
He almost forgot that his uncle was next to him.
One. Two. Three...
Suddenly he realized the name by which his uncle referred to that girl. The same name...
"If you want, then I will present you both formally, today is her first day"
His uncle completely ignored the State of madness that was unleashed in Steve's mind.
"But nephew, come on, prove the new dessert"
Steve had already forgotten why he went to the coffee shop.
Still disconcerted and somewhat insecure with the small spoon he tasted a piece of the dessert.
His uncle was right.
It was a piece of heaven
He was going to tell his uncle his opinion but everything got cloudy and in a blink of eye he was on the couch of his apartment looking up at the roof.
A dream?.
Probably.
He took his phone to see the time but was distracted by the four missed calls from his uncle.
He definitely had to reduce his consumption of sweets.
Giving a deep sigh he stared at the folder of his sketches, was about to take it to look at them when the doorbell rang exalting him.
He ignored the folder and went to open the door expecting to see his uncle.
Not waiting in the end to see that girl on the other side.
To Sussy.
