Ulog #8: Cool walk on a bright day

The sun somehow shone today and the rain has stopped. It was a bit cloudy but it was still a very good weather as the temperature was just right.

I went out in the afternoon for my cancelled transaction from yesterday. Three security guards greeted me by the bank door. I smiled to all of them and got my queue number from one of them as I enter. There is a long queue inside so I searched for the cash accept machine. It is blinking green - ready to go! It was being serviced yesterday so I asked the security guard just to be sure that it is working fine and he said yes. I deposited through the machine and finished my transaction in less than five minutes. I returned my queue number to the guard as I was exiting.

The weather is so cool, it made me miss the outdoor. I did not want to immediately go back home. So instead of going the usual way and ride a trike back home, I circled to a different route - a longer one - and walked. I thought it will be a good exercise. The 15-20 minutes walk ended up to more than 30 minutes. I was lazily walking, enjoying the dry sidewalk. As they say, do not keep yourself too busy. Take time to stop and smell the flowers along the way.

Here are what I got, right in time for the day's #ColorChallenge #WednesdayYellow. They say yellow is the happiest color in the color spectrum and gives the body surge of energy. I kinda agree. It brightens the day.

Gumamela or hibiscus. Gumamela has different varieties in color and in shape. Red is the most common one. I remember during my grade school (I think it was in the fourth grade), our teacher asked us to bring gumamela flower for our discussion the following day. Then on the following day, our topic was about parts of a flower. Our teacher was saying that gumamela is the one that has all the flower parts that is why she required for it to be our sample flower.

Allamanda. It also has different color variety and yellow bell or golden trumpet is the most common one.

I do not know this one. I did "Search Google for image" but dwarf day lily is coming out. It is definitely not a lily. It is actually a tree so if you notice my shots are farther. I was trying to reach for the flowers overhead. Can someone help me out and tell me the name of this, please?

Cheers! 😊
