I get a call on friday saying " the doctor wants to recheck you blood levels again. And afterwords The doctor wants to go over it with you" I say OK and she scheduled an appointment for Wednesday at 9 am for the blood test and 11 am for the doctor to make sure the labs are done. Ok good to go got it. I know it was going to be a brutal day with that schedule for me but I am willing to suck it up. To see if the results are better worse or the same. That's important information to have.
On wednesday I go into the VA for blood test at 9am. They only take two vials of blood. So I ask the guy taking the blood, "what are you testing for" He states "a standard sample" Now I know this is not correct and will not cover the items that need. So bells are going off in my head and I check in for my doctors appointment at around 9:10 or so. I am not upset and taking it all in stride.
I sat there in that waiting until 11:20 . when the head nurse from team 13 pop her head through the door and turned pale when she looked at me and went back inside. 3 min later another nurse came out and called my name. took me around to team 5. I said I am going to do your blood pressure so you can go. then stated the I was there for blood pressure check because I started the new drug 4 days ago. I told her I do not know anything about taking that drug.
Now this is where it all goes to shit and the real me comes out. I feel so bad for that young woman because she took the blunt of this. She went and spoke to my team who conned her into seeing me. she came back and told me that they sent her back and were not going to see me. And that she does want any part of this. poor girls knees were knocking together. I thank her and went straight for team 13 when they saw me coming through the door the ran into one of rooms and locked it. I have to laugh now about that.
My poor wife was tugging on my arm the whole time and just wanted to get me out of there. We went home, I was hurting so bad I had to lay down. when I got up I got all my paperwork on all the events that lead up to this and they were overwhelming with facts. At 8am yesterday I starting sending emails
with with copies of my report to all admin people who were in direct supervisor position from top to bottom. I received so many calls from supervising doctors wanting to resolve the issue. and today received the disciplinary report for the nurse. I did not expect them to go as far as it did.
Had a great conversation with my doctor. Have a meeting on the 4th. I guess they are worried about if I was satisfied with the actions they have taken. When they called for the appointment I ask if they apologized to the nurse who saw me from team 5. They did speak to her.
Well that's how the last couple of days have gone. They sure did hurt me. This all goes to show you that good record keeping is a must. Plus having access to all in house communication on me, its all recorded helps.
I have been doing this post for the past 4 hours. I need to lay down, and that's will happen next. I will answer all comment just as before with the same 0.01 vote. I hope you have dustsweeper to bring it above the dust. It might take me a little longer But I will get it done.
I thank you all because you make hard times like this much easier to deal with. I will get through it. right now I am looking at gallbladder surgery. thank the lord it might not be the liver.
