The rare case of @isotonic or the creation of a Bid-based Voting Bot as a tool for Empowering or Funding a Steemit Initiative

As you may know, besides being a clearly fanatic of the cryptoworld, I am also an active addicted Runner... But let me explain you a little bit more about my start as a minnow here in steemit

As a steemit user, I enrolled in the platform on June last year.

As any other minnow does, I have tried to grew up posting about many aspects of my life.

As you can imagine, one of the main topics I wrote about were posts and articles regarding Running, since it is one of my favorite activities in life.

Actually, one of the first tags I checked when I first landed in steemit was the #running tag and, of course, one of my very first post was about that topic.

Despite I think I managed to succeed in the platform, I found terribly difficult to find steemians with the same preferences and I spent a lot of time searching Runners to follow in the platform and, as a consequence, I got very few Runners as followers as well.

One amazing initiative I found and on which I am fully committed is the RUNCOIN initiative from @dragosroua . If I am not wrong, Mr. Dragos is working in its evolution and he knows pretty well how enthusiastic I am with this project, which I am supporting it 100%.

Nevertheless, since the beginning , I have been thinking about how to promote/incentivize the Running Community and, of course, how to motivate Runners to keep posting about this amazing activity .

Fruit of all this time spent thinking on this topic is the creation of the @runningproject initiative a few weeks ago, which I invite you to follow if you are curious about, but that essentially and in short, it is a Running Post promoter on which anyone can become an approved member if demonstrates good quality posts on the Running topic, being the enrollement fee a tiny (I guess) transfer of 1 SBD or 1 STEEM...
In change, @runningproject is, between other benefits, automatically upvoting, resteeming and promoting those posts of the "approved" member... there are more benefits which implies selection of best Running posts of the week, contest, training proposals and the like ...

If you read till here maybe you are a little puzzled trying to understand the meaning of the this post title, "The rare case of @isotonic...bla, bla, bla....".
Sorry for the long introduction but thought was worthy in order to understand it...

So, as I said @runningproject was created, new members are getting enrolled daily, the account is voting all of them, donations are increasing as well, the different promotion posts and contest placed are going pretty well and the STEEM POWER is growing constantly but...

  • Even the enrollement fee is "tiny", the number of members is increasing, some of them voting more frequently than others, so the @runningproject is voting more and more every time, benefiting more members as well but also losing Voting Power (VP).... ==> So, I decided to set the Voting Weight (VW) of the @runningproject to the 50% in order don't run out the VP...
That was a good decision I guess, and as a result, that measure is keeping @runningproject within a voting "safe" zone, for the moment...

  • Remains the problem of the expected growing of the initiative... If the initiative is a success as I consider it has been till now, the number of members will increase constantly and so I will have to take a decision... paining decision I would say, because it would imply the increase of the "enrollment" fee or so... frankly would not like to reach this point...

Suddenly, a couple of weeks ago, one steemian which I personally introduced in Steemit a few months ago and which I consider him as my fifth brother (we grew up together and, in some sense we are brothers, I love you dude :-)), asked me to help him in the setting-up of a new Bid-based Voting Bot...

Since, as I said , he is my "brother", I spent time using and install some GITHUB open source linux libraries/programs etc... which allow you to configure a sort of bot...
That is how I put me in contact with @yabappmatt , Steem Witness / Developer / Creator of SteemBotTracker.com and the Post Promoter content promotion software...

After ending the project of my "brother's" bot, I used the knowledge acquired to develop another one.

Yeah, another Bidding-Based Voting Bot, @isotonic....But with a small but important difference:

@isotonic has been created as a tool to reinforce the @runningproject initiative and so, it is the @runningproject account who will be benefited from the earnings of the bot after having payed the delegators.
Essentially, the SBD or STEEM transfered by @isotonic to @runningproject will feed and increase @runningproject ' s SP

Honestly, I did not find any other bot offering the same as @isotonic does, which, at the same time is promoting minnows and so, it is dedicating a big part of its earnings to reinforce another good cause or initiative as @runningproject .

So, let me tell that seems that @isotonic is the first Bid-based Voting Bot created, in part, to help or fund another Steemit Community!

Long life to @isotonic and the @runningproject initiative!!!

I would like to thank all the members and supporters of @runningproject and this time also in particular to @yabapmatt
who has aided me a lot in many technical aspects , always available and willing to help and give advise.

I strongly ask you to consider give your vote for @yabapmatt as a witness , following this link

Breathe, Run, Dream, Live...

Keep on running!!!
