Here's how lunch happened:
First, i cleaned the mushrooms and took out the stalks. Then i soaked them in water, a few good drops of Liquid Smoke, and some minced garlic. Yum!
Then, I sauteed one big red onion in olive oil until it was getting clear. Added minced garlic and the sliced mushrooms. Topped that with Liquid smoke and maple syrup. Let that all sizzle for a while. This mushroom red onion relish is sooo yummy! If you like meat, but don't eat it, you got to try this. 😊
Spread vegn butter on a baquette sliced for sandwiches. Pop those in the oven for 10 to 15.
Before i set the tofu slices on the hot pan, i sprinkled the pan with taco seasoning and curry powder to give even more flavor. This dish is overflowing with flavor! I put a little vegan butter and liquid smoke on the tofu and even poured some of the mushroom marinade water in the hot pan too. Mmmm! Brown both sides of the tofu really good, yeah it's tasty like that. 🌻

Spread a little tomato sauce on one side and vegan mayo on the other side of the bread, both of which were totally unnessessary but i told you these sandwiches were dank!!!
