Every day is different at the auto repair shop. We see alot of hotrods and muscle cars here in downtown Saskatoon. Follow along to see what I did today.
Firstly I did a wheel alignment on this 1970 Ford Mustang. We recently finished building this machine and it won 1st place for resto-mod at the Easter car show.
The alignment specs for these old cars are pretty much irrelevent in 2018 with the available tires now. I generally add as much caster as I can and drop the camber a bit too. People come asking for my alignments all the time.
Our utility company changed the gas meter for some seven year calibration test reason. It was kind of weird having other people in the shop like this.
It's not all hotrods all day. We need to keep everyone safe out there. A worn out tie rod and then a wheel alignment was the fix for this SUV.
Another wheel alignment! This time on a 1968 Corvette.
The reason this owner needed an alignment is because he had just installed a new rack and pinion. Not quite original.
Check that out, It's supercharged! Not quite original.
And it has a 5 speed manual transmission. Not quite original. What a ride. The first pic(at the top of this blog) is me bangin' gears on the post alignment test drive.
This hotrod has(had) a few problems. The left low beam headlight won't work, the box cover is falling off and he wanted new wiper blades.
Not my idea of a pick-up truck.
Don't screw around with your exterior lights folks. All too often I have to re-install the original headlamps or repair wiring on this cheesy junk aftermarket lighting.
See the melted away terminal?
I got to use the "man step" to get into the bed. I also had to use a stool to get to the "man step".
I couldn't stop giggling the whole time thinking of this old comercial.
So that was my day at work, what did you do at work today?
I am @edthecanadian 🇨🇦 and I haven't shaved for awhile!
