I have been looking at all the options for which camera is best bang for buck, most action cams seem to be clunky with the external waterproof case. Decided to get the GoPro Hero 5 kit from Costco. Slim and has amazing video quality which will be nice for taking those excellent pictures I just hope the audio is sufficient for my vlogs.
In the kit:
- GoPro Hero 5 Black
- 16GB memory card
- Shorty tripod/handle
- 1 x rechargeable batterie
- Flat & Curved adhesive mounts
Stopped at Best Buy is to check pricing, my kit was cheaper then just the camera. Looking at batteries & memory cards both were on sale. Cost of Digipower 2 x rechargeable batteries and charging block was cheaper then just a GoPro brand batterie. Went with a 64GB memory card just so I am certain to have room for all the footage our trip may entail.

- Samsung EVO Plus 64GB
This should bring me up to 4 1/2 hrs batterie life and be able to hold all the footage for the charge time.
What do you guys think of my first major purchase? This is my birthday present this year and will be the first one that has the potential to pay for itself thanks to @DTube and my new found #OneLoveDTube family!
I will do my first unboxing video probably with this purchase, it seems like an event I should highlight. Till now I have been using only my iPhone 6s and while it takes great video and pictures it was extremely lacking on storage and battery life. With this I will be able to do my larger projects without having to worry about running out of space or life on my phone, don’t know how many times it has just stopped recording on me while recording a vlog.
