Be a tourist where you are

Walk with me as I share with you a little hour of intentional joy, as I go be a tourist in my home town. This is a nice, stress preventing thing you can do any time yourself. If you feel bored, hemmed in, isolated, stressed out.. just take an hour and pretend you are on vacation. Go to a gift shop and look at everything. Go buy yourself a cookie. But do it like you are on vacation. It really does wonders .

I went to the gift shop and then a new cookie shop in town! The cookie shop is like walking into a dream. Or maybe everything is actually a dream and the cookie shop is just the reminder.. ..

Indulging in my favorites

I love crystals and rocks. I am that much of a hippy! I totally think that they help ground and align us. Maybe only because they delight and remind us of simpler more beautiful things...(but maybe because of total magic) ... but every once in a while i get drawn to a specific type of stone. Sometimes its just granite! Like its not always the special pretty ones. Today I was feeling joyful and happy looking at all those rocks and the peacock ore just called to me. So, I bought the one on the top of that pile.

See the selenite in the back? I already have some of that at home. Its not an expensive crystal because its basically some kind of salt and probably common. I am not a rock expert I dont know. Basically I love how it looks like a magical castle tower. I resisted buying any more of it today but if I had my way I would set like 12 of these up on a special table and i dont know, sing to it or do some remote viewing or something. The $2.50 peacock ore was already over budget haha.

NEXT TO THE COOKIE SHOP

This is a new shop in our town. Here are some pictures of the cookies. Not depicted: Snickers cookies. And cookie ice cream sandwiches that they make to order with local ice cream.

My son got an ice cream sandwich with snickerdoodle cookies and huckleberry ice cream

Huckleberries are a local berry. We love them, the bears love them. Sometimes we feel bad in our area for eating huckleberries because we do live on the bear's land. But in the end... we are terrible beings and just keep eating them...

The next time you need a break, go be a tourist in your town!

This little trip was just an hour of my time! It helped out a lot and I feel like my day was much better for it! And Oh. I got a oatmeal raisin cookie thank you very much. I don't think I have eaten a cookie in at least a month, so it was a delightful and special occasion!

Check you laters!!!
