The Mpenjati Nature Reserve is very near to where we live. We love to go there for the day to enjoy the outdoors and all it has to offer.
That is the Mpenjati river, the photo was taken upstream, less than 500 metres downstream it mouthed into the sea.
On this photo, where my dad is showing off the little fish he caught, you can see the beach where the river goes into the
ocean.
When we are there, hubby, @scotty777 likes to fish.
So on this one day, I convinced my dad to go walk the walking trail with me.
So off we went to see what the trail has to offer.
It is very beautiful as it goes through our beautiful sub-tropical vegetation. Everything is green and lush.
But what I liked the most about walking the trail, was to discover all the flowers along the way.
I love to see all the different plants and take pictures of it.
The trail is only a short distance, not even 1km, where it stopped near the ocean then you have to turn back. Luckily it is not so far because my dad is 76 years already.
This flowers above was quite interesting. I just wish I had more knowledge about the different flowers and plants. Would love to know all the names.
This is a wonderful way to enjoy nature and spend some quality time with your family. When we came back it is time to rest. :-)
My mom is taking her fiesta, while my dad is your looking at the river and relaxing and hubby.... still fishing ;-)
