Hello everyone! Hope you had a great time with your loved ones. It's Sunday!!!!We woke up late today. I heard the birds were singing from the window. Whoaaa! Spring is coming really soon! I can feel it. Our son wanted to go downtown right away. We took our bicycles and brooommmmm we went outside. I thought we were going to go cycling but it was quiet busy, we all decided to walk on the seashore instead of biking.
It looked like summer already, some were with their bikinis sunbathing and swimming in the ocean. Cool, fresh sea breeze is good for your lungs. My son took out his shoes. He also enjoyed walking and running on the sand.
#walkwithme today at Playa La Antilla, Andalucia Spain. According to history, La Antilla beach was discovered by Christopher Colombus before the sixteenth century. During the 19th century a Portugese fishermen came to the area and fish sardines and eventually the fishermen built their houses into huts. In the 1950's more houses were built and more families arrived in the area. The place became popular for holiday destinations. SOURCE
I made some photos of them. Most of the houses are newly renovated and modern. No tall buildings around, there are spaces in between the houses. We made up some game and rated each house from 0-10. The first house that we saw, I gave it 8 points, my son said 7 and my husband gave 6 points. We laughed because everybody had different scores. I pointed out my favorite house and my son got his own and my husband as well we could be all neighbors someday lols
Each house is unique. They are mostly empty and only occupied during the spring and summer time. Most of these houses are second (or third) vacation houses for the owners. I like a nipa hut in my country the Philippines, made from bamboo and coconut leaves. It's good for the hot weather, but not strong enough if there's a storm. Every country has it's own style and design. Do you have a dream house of your own? How would you build it? And where would it be?
