The Problem
First of all, cryptocurrency in general has often been misunderstood as Ponzi scheme by many people out there. Steemit, a social media platform running on blockchain AND cryptocurrency, has also been controversial subject on web.

Using Webtoon for Advertising Cryptocurrency ... And Steemit
To shatter the myth that cryptocurrency is some weird gimmick that tries to steal people's money, Steemit user @twinbraid and I have been working together for few months to create educational webtoon, supported by @kr-marketing.
6 months ago, @twinbraid and I have successfully finished a webtoon called 비트코인으로 배우는 블록체인 sponsored by @coinkorea. Many Steemians testimonied that the webtoon helped them understand what blockchain is and how it works :)
The new webtoon we are currently working on will be 5 episodes long and it will have interesting characters and narrative. Our major goal is to explain how blockchain technology works, why we see the word bitcoin all over the media now and why blockchain will become so important in our lives in the future.
And lastly, it will explain how Steemit has the potential to become the new facebook of social media in the near future. (You might think I am exaggerating, but let's see how it goes)
What is Webtoon?
Webtoon is the term broadly used by Koreans, synonym of "scrolling comics" best viewed on smartphones. This new form of web comics has grown its popularity in recent years.
Why Webtoon?
People looooove reading comics because it has more pictures and less words. Also, images tends to grab more attention when explaining something that is complicated in concept than words. Let's imagine that your friend asking you "What is blockchain?", Instead of explaining in words, you could just grab your smartphone, pull up the webtoon and show it to your friend. It will be so much easier.
The idea is that we can simplify the process and make the spread of the words more interesting experience.
The main characters

Each page will be in square format and total of 20 panels, making it ideal for posting on not only on Steemit, but also SNS platforms like facebook and instagram.
The first episode will be uploaded on March 5, on @carrtcake 's steemit blog, Steemit never post, and 알아두면 부자되는 신비한 블록체인 Facebook page.

블록체인을 사람들에게 어떻게 쉽게 빠르게 소개할수 있을까 고민 하던 중, 마침 뜻이 맞는 분들과 함께 작업을 하게 되었고 연재처도 찾게 됐습니다 :)
앞으로 여러분께 보여드리게 될 웹툰은 어렵고 기술적인 내용이 아닌, 초등학생도 이해할수 있도록 최대한 쉽고 간단하게 풀어낼 계획입니다 _
3월 5일 첫화를 시작으로, 총 5화 연재가 예정되어있습니다.

이 목표죠.
블록체인 기술에 대한 설명으로 시작한 뒤, 차근차근 비트코인과 이더리움 그리고 리플 등의 주요 코인 소개, 그리고 마지막 5화는 새로운 소셜 미디어, 스팀잇 소개로 끝낼 예정입니다.
3월 5일부터 매주 월요일 스팀잇 네이버 포스트, 알아두면 부자되는 신비한 블록체인 페이스북 페이지, 그리고 스팀잇에 동시에 연재 될 예정입니다.
그럼, 2주 후에 뵙겠습니다.
