[BootToon] Daddy & Daughters Diary - White Lie

Hello Steemians!
This is my "Boot-toon" series: Boot//붓 means "brush" in Korean and Toon//툰 references a cartoon.
I'm a professional calligraphy artist in South Korea and I illustrate stories about life, love, and family through this illustration series.
I hope you enjoy it!

Sometimes my daughters fought over a glass of water. As adults do over other things.

Khani: Don't you know you should respect elders?
Mani: (In fact, she didn't know that.) Don't you know that you should share? (She didn't have a variety of vocabularies back then.)

Khani: Mom! You lied to me.
Mom: What lie?

Khani: They say sometimes lies can make things better.
Mom: What are you implying? (Ah, yeah, right there!)

Khani: The Christmas presents. They were not from Santa, were they?
Mom: Umm... what... Who told you?
Khani: My kindergarten teacher.

Khani: You and Daddy gave them to us, right? I know you said they were from Santa just to make us feel happy.
Mom: Uh.. yes. 😅

Khani: So, it must be a white lie!

An outing on a fine day in April.

Khani: Wow, the smell of lilac!

Khani: The air is filled with the smell of lilacs!
Mani: Me, too! (I don't know any fancy words, but I kind of feel the same way, she wanted to say. 😁)

That day we were fully immersed in poetry. We all wrote a poem line by line like this:

The smell of lilacs is everywhere.
High-rise in the middle of a vast field
Among the twinkling tiers of windows with warm lights
It's all full of the smell of lilacs.

In every step of evening walk
Between Mommy and me, between Daddy and me
In every face of my friends that come to mind
Everywhere I see, every place my mind wanders
Between the blades of grass, among the leaves, in each and every petal of flowers
On your nose, in your palm, over your clothes
I can feel the smell of lilacs everywhere.

Around that time I decided that I should walk in to the land of poetry holding my children's hands in the near future.
