"Whaleshares" are a token-based tool that accurately and professionally applies whale voting power to a users posts.
This allows people to build their steempower and payouts while giving whales incentive to hold their steempower instead of powering down – This should also help the price of steem remain consistent.
This means that you can buy or win Whaleshares, and use them for some major post promotion!
Alternatively if you're fiscally responsible, altruistic or a great friend you could give them to me. I mean save them... >.>
How do I get Whaleshares?
Click Here to Download Bitshares!
- Once installed, navigate to Whaleshares by clicking "Find Markets" (Right hand side of the app)
- Choose the BTS market, then search for "Whaleshares"

You can sign up for an openledger account and access your account from any browser. Sign up for openledger here - Thanks @jphenderson!
Now you can trade your Bitshares for Whaleshares. (see below)
It may take some time for your trade to go through, so place your position. In the meantime you can get some FREE whaleshares by entering contests on Steemit.

How do I use WhaleShares?
First you will need to get your link. Navigate to the article you want to promote. Ctrl - C
Navigate to http://whaleshares.net/ and follow the steps.
The Best Part
Now that you have your modified link and your WhaleShares
- Return to the Bitshares App.
- Navigate to "Send"
- Copy your modified link into the memo field.
- Choose the power of your upvote. 1 Whaleshare = 1%
- Make sure to send it to
whaleshares
