Contests are booming on Steem.
We're up to around 10 a day now - with approaching $250 worth of daily prizes.
But we can do more - more contests and more participants.
To encourage this I am expanding my Contest of the Week Contest to include Super-Contestant of the Week as well.
Let's make Steem the Contest Capital of the Cryptosphere !
Contest of the Week
Alas I didn't receive any nominations for Contest of the Week but I have found 3 great contests to award the prizes to...
All three of these contests are well presented with clear instructions and a clearly stated closing date (and time).
They also all have attractive prizes and are attracting wide participation beyond a single community.
@rasinkani and the Dream Home contest just pipped the other two at the post with the added twist of the 5% going to the SL Charity. 15 STEEM will be going to @rasinkani shortly.
For the runners-up prizes 5 STEEM will be going to the @writingnreviews account (run by @belenguerra and @fendit) and the other 5 STEEM will be shared between @olesia and @dmitrik.

I will be repeating this Contest of the Week Contest again this week but with two prizes of 10 STEEM each.

Super-Contestant of the Week
As well as encouraging more people to run more contests I am also keen to encourage more people to enter more contests. There are plenty to chose from !
So as a little way of doing this I want to start awarding prizes to the Super-Contestants who are entering the most contests each week.
To encourage quality entries and to discourage junk entries it won't just be about numbers of contests entered. The quality of entries will be taken into account as well.
If you enter a lot of contests each week and think you might be a 'Super-Contestant' make a post listing all the contests you have entered in the past seven days and drop a link in the comments below.
Include links to the contests and links to your entries, and number each contest so I can quickly see how many you have entered.
Include the tag #super-contestant and a tag for you country, and use the title 'Super-Contestant of the Week entry by @...'.
Make sure you make your post and drop it in the comments below by next Friday 9 April 2021, 11:59pm UTC.
This contest is quite experimental and I am not sure what type and how many entries I might get, so I am keeping the prizes fluid.
There will be a prize pool of 20 STEEM to begin with but I am not sure how many people that will be split between, but likely to be two prizes of 10 STEEM.
I strongly believe Contests can be a great marketing asset for Steem.
They can make Steem more accessible to a much broader audience.
I am sure we can position Steem as the Contest Capital of the Crypto World.
