Hello everyone,
I would like to create a new witness node and help by contributing my two cent to the ever growing steemit community. I've got some spare compute and network capacity at one of the data centres located in London, UK. I've set up a witness server thanks to the Steem-In-A-Box project done by @someguy123. Thanks a lot by the way for making it easier for the new steemians to participate and contribute!
As of this moment, the new witness node called andrei.mozg is ready for service to the Steemit community!!!
A quick geek-talk server specs:
Ubuntu LTS
16GB RAM
24 vCPU @ 2.1Ghz
ssd caching + spindles (awesome ZFS) for storage
XenServer hypervisor
1 gbit/s internet link
My future plan is to make the solution redundant and have a second witness server on standby in another physical location to give a better availability of the witness service. Looking for some help and suggestions in this field! I am new to this, but I am sure with your help I will learn and improve!
